Manage Talk Content Calendar

Talk content administrators access the Content Calendar for a centralized view of scheduled and published content.

The calendar is shared so that content admins on the Talk tenant can review all admin-generated content (events, polls, announcements, and so on).

Use the calendar to identify communication gaps. Coordinate with other admins for more effective scheduling. For example, if there are ten posts scheduled for next Monday and no posts for that Thursday and Friday, then consider rescheduling posts to be more consistent throughout the week.

With the Content Calendar, you can:

  • See an at-a-glance view of all posts scheduled by month, week, and day.
  • Filter the calendar for the types of posts you want to view, including those scheduled or published for specific groups.
  • Navigate the calendar to see posts from previous months and those scheduled for the coming months.

To create and manage content, see Manage Talk Content.

To open and view the calendar

  1. Go to the Content page and click Content Calendar. The calendar opens to the current month. Posts are color coded by type and display for each day in the order they will be posted.
    • Hover over a post to see the post type (survey, ideabox, event, poll, announcement, and so on), the post name, and the date and time the post is scheduled to expire (if any).
Note: For promoted posts, the name of the template used to create the post displays.
    • When a day has more than 4 posts (month view) or 15 posts (week view), the number of additional posts also displays. Click + number more to open a list of all posts for that day.
  2. Refresh the page to see the latest posts.

To navigate the calendar

There are multiple ways to navigate and view the calendar.

  • Click Month, Week, or Day to change calendar view.
  • Click List to see a list view of all posts for the current month.
  • Click Next and Previous to navigate through the calendar months, weeks, and days.
  • Click Today to navigate to the current day, week, or month (depending on your view).

To filter the calendar

Refine your view of the posts you can see by adding one or more filters. Filters are applied to posts across the entire calendar, regardless of the current view.

  1. Click Filter . The Filter panel opens.
  2. Set filter options.
    • Post Types. Click the drop-down list to select one or more post types.
    • Groups. Click the drop-down list to select one or more groups. Only groups that are associated with currently scheduled and published posts display. When the list is empty, all posts are currently targeted to everyone and/or hyperfinds only.

Each selection displays at the top of the panel.

  3. Do the following as needed:
    • To remove a selection, click its X.
    • To clear all selections, click Reset.
  4. Click Apply. The Filter panel closes and the results display. The number of filters applied displays next to Filter .
