Access the Talk Admin Dashboard

Access the Talk Admin Dashboard to monitor and manage how users interact with Talk.

UKG Talk administrators access the Talk Admin Dashboard two ways:

  • Administrators logged in to the UKG Talk desktop, click Admin from the menu. The Talk Admin Dashboard opens in a new tab or browser instance.
  • Bookmark the URL, for example, admin.talk.my ukg.com, and open in a browser.

To log In

When you open a Talk Admin Dashboard session, you are prompted to log in using your UKG username and password. If you are already authenticated, you will not be prompted to enter your credentials.

To log out

When you log out of the Talk Admin Dashboard, you also log out of your parent product. If you log out of the parent product while you are still logged in to Talk, you will have access to Talk for a set number of days, depending on how the tenant is configured. 30 days is the default. During this time, if you use the Calendar app to open your schedule in the parent product, you may be prompted to log in.

  1. At the top-right of the dashboard, click your name.
  2. Click Log out. The Log in page displays.

Talk Admin Dashboard Home page

When you log in to the Talk Admin Dashboard, the Home page opens. The Home page includes:

  • Quick Links from which you can create announcements, events, polls, and promoted posts.
  • Overview of user interaction including total users, active users, and a line graph that illustrates user engagement by week or month.

Menu navigation

The menu on the left side of the interface is always available regardless of which tab you are on. The menu includes links to the following main areas of the Talk Admin Dashboard:

Note: Depending on your role and permissions, you may not see all menu and tab options.

To open the Talk desktop

To open the Talk desktop from the Talk Admin Dashboard:

  1. At the top-right of the dashboard, click your name.
  2. Click Go to feed. The Talk desktop opens in a new tab or browser instance.

To open the Talk admin online help

  1. At the top-right of the dashboard, click your name.
  2. Click Help. The Talk Administrator Dashboard online help opens in a new tab or browser instance.
