Accessing the system through the app
Launching the App
You can open (launch) the app by tapping the app icon on your mobile device. Alternatively, an App URL can be configured to provide a link that will launch the app. This URL link can be contained in an email or a web page. Tapping the link from a mobile device will launch the installed app. If the app is not installed on the mobile device, tapping the link will bring you to the App Store / Play Store where you can install it.
Access the system without entering a username and password
You can be set up to access the system without having to enter the username and password.
In the UKG Dimensions Mobile App, this is done with Extended Authentication. Properly configured users can enter the host system through the mobile app without logging in during a set period of time (up to 7 days).

After logging in with a Username/Password or SSO (and MFA if applicable), the user is prompted to permit the UKG Pro app to use the authentication method that is set on the device (Biometric, PIN, or Passcode).
-
If users accept, the new entry method is valid for 180 days. After 180 days, users must re-enter their Username and Password to begin another 180-day cycle.
-
If users decline, Username/Password or SSO (and MFA if applicable) is required every time they login through the app.
Require the user to verify identity before being allowed to punch The entries on a timecard that mark the beginning (in-punch) or end (out-punch) of a work interval, such as the beginning of a shift or transfer.
You can have local authentication set up as a requirement for punching. Local authentication requires the user to authenticate (with an input such as a fingerprint or a passcode) before being allowed to perform a punch from the mobile app.
Access the system when there is no internet connection
You can work “Offline” when the system is unavailable or when there is no internet connection. Properly configured users can punch in and punch out from the mobile app with no connection to the host server. The “offline punch” is held on the mobile device until a connection with the server is established. Once connected, the punch data gets transferred to the server.
