My time tile
The My time tile offers features and functionality designed to provide simplified information at a glance and streamline simple tasks
The My time tile:
- Lets you select the pay period for which you want to see time information
- Uses a graphical display of hours worked versus scheduled hours
- Has a tabular display for hours based on pay code
- Uses simple icons that indicate whether the timecard has been approved by the employee, approved by the manager, or signed off
- Includes alerts that indicate if any timecard exceptions need your attention
- If configured, has the ability to approve your timecard directly from the My time tile
Change the pay period
By default, the My time tile displays the employee's hours for the current pay period. Other periods for which hours can be displayed are:
- Previous pay period
- Today
- Yesterday
- Week to date
- Last week
- Current week
How hours are displayed on the My time tile
By default, the My time tile displays both hours worked and scheduled hours for the selected time period in text and in a graphical format:
- Text displays labels and values for actual and scheduled hours
- A dark blue circle surrounds the text; this circle represents the actual hours worked
- If hours worked exceeds scheduled hours, a teal colored arc is added to the outside of the circle to show the number of hours above scheduled hours that have been worked
Display hours based on pay code
To display hours based on pay code, select Show table. The graphical display of scheduled and actual hours is replaced with a table with Pay code and Amount columns.
Timecard status
The My time tile uses a simple set of icons to display the current status of the employee's timecard. The timecard status display is on the upper right side of the tile, and consists of three circular icons:
- The first icon indicates whether the employee has approved their timecard. When approved, the icon is colored a dark orange.
- The second icon indicates whether the manager has approved the timecard. When approved, the icon is colored a dark purple. If the timecard is partially approved, color is displayed only on the bottom half of the circle.
- The third icon indicates whether the timecard has been signed off. When signed off, the icon is colored a light black.
The information icon to the right of the status icons displays a legend of the icons and their color.
Timecard exceptions
If the timecard has any exceptions, the My time tile displays an alert message at the bottom of the tile. A button to the right of the alert message opens the employee's My Timecard page.
Approve timecards
If this functionality has been configured by your system administrator, an Approve button is displayed at the bottom of the My time tile, allowing you to easily approve your timecard with a single tap or click.
