Deactivate a KPI

How to deactivate a KPI.

You can deactivate any KPI (standard or custom) to make it unavailable to the development of Dataviews, reports, and other KPIs. (It will not be visible for selection.) Because a deactivated KPI is not processed by the domain functions that perform the real-time data loads, deactivating an inessential KPI reduces the load on the system. In other words, the KPI will no longer be updated with new data.

Deactivating a KPI does not remove the KPI from Dataviews, reports, and other KPIs in which it is currently used. You must manually remove it if necessary.

The deactivation of a KPI that is currently used in the formula of one or more KPIs will result in the deactivation of both the KPI and the other KPIs that are using it.

To deactivate a KPI:

  1. Open the Main Menu and navigate to Administration > Application Setup.
  2. Navigate to KPI Builder > KPI Definition. A list displays the Name, Description, Short Name, Data Source, Display Format, Precision, Type (STANDARD or CUSTOM), and Status (Enabled or Disabled) of each existing KPI. You can sort this list by the contents of any column by clicking tapping the column heading. Clicking Tapping toggles between an alphabetical or reverse alphabetical sort.

You can filter this list by clicking tapping Filter and entering a search string in one or more of the cells that appear beneath the column headings.

  3. Highlight one or more KPIs that you want to deactivate and click tap Disable .
  4. Click Tap No to abort the deactivation. Click Tap Yes to confirm the deactivation.
Note: Many standard metrics and KPIs are used in various pages, such as the Timecard landing page, the Operational Dashboard, standard Dataviews and reports, as well as others. Disabling the associated metrics and KPIs may result in a feature not working correctly or at all.
